Project 2: Room and Narrative

Edward Hopper's Nighthawk

"An Isolated and lonely man is desperately looking for a new hope"

The idea of this design is in term of simplicity. The rectangular geometric form of the of the building is very simple yet fairly complex interior. The term isolation can be represented clearly by the facade of the building. The four direction of facades are exactly same, thus represent the feeling of entrapment. The building is located in the middle of forest, where no one is there exept the isolated man, furthermore it represents ther the term of isolation. The tall structure of the buildings clearly represent the hope of the man for seeking "a new hope". An unobstructed view of scenery of the forest that represent "hope" can be seen cleary on top of the tower.
